A HIGH MOUNTAIN APART

Math.17:1-2 "And after six days Jesus took with Him Peter and James and John his brother, and brought them up to a high mountain apart; and was transformed before them, and His face shone as the sun and His garments became white as the light".
Rev. 4:1" After these things I saw, and Lo! A door set open in heaven; and the first voice which I heard as of a trumpet speaking with me saying, come up hither and I will point out to you the things which must needs come to pass."

In order to understand spiritual things you must "go up" and the "going up" is by "invitation only". Only the faithful servant is made ruler over God's "things".

Math.24:45-47 "Who then is the faithful and prudent servant whom the Master has appointed over His household to give them food in season? Happy! that servant whom His Master when He come shall find so doing! Verily I say unto you, over all His substance will He appoint him".

"Food" or "meat"- in due season and "substance" are the same. It is the LIVING WORD; ie, spiritual truth. In due season is AT THE APPROPRIATE SPIRIT DIRECTED TIME. Only the Spirit knows at what time a certain word is necessary; an encouraging word does not come forth when a warning word is nesessary and vice-versa.. In addition, "in season" is not according to what hearers THINK they need. The "feeding" is from God's view, not man's.

Most or much of the "food" given the household of God in the present day is initiated by what is going on in the culture and not according to God's Spirit. It is "satan filtered", ie, "meat sacrificed to idols" of Rev. 2-20, before offering it to the household of God. It also includes "preaching culturally relevant" claptrap- environmental "save the earth" stuff, etc. They who "preach" this have had their light removed a long time ago; while preaching relevancy they have become irrelevant.

In order to teach spiritual things one must be spirit taught. This comes with a cost, and only a comparative few are willing to pay that cost. The cost involves the loss of all things. You have to be willing to be a nobody in the eyes of the world in order to be God's "somebody". This is the "high calling of God in Christ Jesus" that Paul spoke of. This is the "come up hither" to a "high mountain apart" the scripture is referring to.

These things are written to those presently in the "cost paying process"; you know who you are. At the present time the adversary has placed you in prison. It's not a literal prison with tangible walls, etc., but is a condition or state of being where the adversary's instruments have (or are) accusing you, pointing the finger at you and shunning you, (pronouncing you guilty), for your life and stand in Christ Jesus. You are presently in "Smyrna" and the Spirit says to you, "be faithful unto death and I will give you a crown of life". This "death" is not martyrdom of the physical body, but NON RESISTANCE TO THE ADVERSARY'S INSTRUMENTS, who may be (and more than likely are), close relatives and /or friends/professing believers, who, by your "cost paying process" you are leaving behind. Don't take their guilt offerings, but don't fight against them either.

This is part of God's way "into the spirituals" and to resist or fight against it is to fight against God WHO IS THE BEHIND THE SCENES DIRECTOR OF ALL THINGS. The letters to the seven assemblies are stages or levels of conditions/states of being, which when overcome, it is not necessary to go through again; ie, in this case, if you are faithful unto death, you overcome and are given a crown.

This level is where most christians fail because they don't understand the lesson of adversity- THEY INSIST ON DEFENDING THEMSELVES, EXPLAINING THEMSELVES AND WANTING OTHERS TO UNDERSTAND THEMSELVES. They are fighting against God and keep having to go around again to the next trial, which is actually the same trial in a different form or with a different"face", so it's the same opportunity again to overcome. They forget the example of the One Who kept His mouth shut when He was reviled and ridiculed.

The self defence mechanism-self preservation- is the cause of 99.9% of the stifling of christian "growth". Jesus spent His whole earthly ministry pointing out the non resisting way into the spirituals.

Therefore, being put in "prison" by the adversary is actually GOD COMING TO YOU DISGUISED AS A THIEF TO TAKE AWAY FROM YOU THAT WHICH IS NOT OF HIMSELF; ie, self consciousness.
