LUST; WHITE AND CLEAN

The word lust usually brings up the idea of something forbidden, or not good for the individual-usually in the sexual realm. Normally it carries with it a negative conotation; a strong inordinate desire or craving for something or someone-more consuming or obsessive then just desire for something.

Here in the title however, the word is associated with something-or the character of something- "white and clean". White speaks of righteousness or "right standing with God", and clean speaks of purity-"to the pure, all things are pure", Titus 1:15.

There is a strong desire or craving in the earnest people of God for righteousness/holiness/purity in their daily lives. I use the word earnest to differentiate between the more serious minded believer and the "nominal professor"- the latter being merely a just-barely-make-it-by-the-skin-of-the-teeth-christian; one who is satisfied with believing in the Jesus of history and "going-to-heaven-when-I-die".

The former have a "lust for God". Everything else in their life takes second place to this "lust; white and clean". They walk circumspectly and measure everything they do and say and everything in the world around them-their families and the surrounding culture- according to their understanding of what they call the written Word of God, the bible. This "lust" or strong desire/craving is actually the drawing power of God at work in them and in the world, which shows it's true character/nature in the serious minded ones, as this desire/craving. The same drawing power is also working in the rebellious ungodly, but because of their condition it shows itself in them as RESISTANCE- the opposite of it's true nature/character. In them it is manifested as anger/wrath/rebellion.

John 12:32 "And I-if I be lifted up out of the earth (and he was), WILL DRAW ALL UNTO MYSELF"

This drawing then, it the fulfillment of this scripture. It is a good thing in these serious minded ones, but they have to be careful for they represent the Assembly of Ephesus in Revelation 2 and must be mindful of three things............

Lk. 18:8b ".......Nevertheless though the Son of Man do come, will He after all find FAITH in the earth?"
Math. 24:12 "And because of lawlessness being brought to the full, the LOVE of the many shall wax cold".
Rev.2:4 "Nevertheless I have against you that your first LOVE you have left"
Heb.12:15 "......Lest anyone be falling behind from the favor of God,-lest any root of BITTERNESS springing up above (in the mind)be causing trouble, and through it the many be defiled"

Loss of faith=loss of love=BITTERNESS.

The serious minded ones, because of their watchfulness and observation of the pervasive, ungodly conduct of those in the surrounding culture will lose heart and cry out to God to "take vengence" on the heathenistic, pagan, selfcentered, rebellious ones.

Rev.6:9-10 "And when he opened the fifth seal I saw beneath the alter the souls of them who had been slain because of the Word of God and because of the witness they held. And they cried out with a loud voice saying, 'How long O Sovereign, the Holy and True, do you not VINDICATE AND AVENGE our blood from them that dwell on the earth?"

In order to understand this you must set aside any literal interpretation of this passage you have learned in the harlot system. "Them who had been slain" does not refer to a physical murder or martyrdom, it speaks of WORDS OF ACCUSATION which is the same thing as killing. The accuser is "killing"them through the words and actions of his instruments, which causes these "souls" to be overcome by what they see occurring in the world. They are "under the alter" as opposed to being "before" the alter in an attitude of worship, hence, a picture of their "being overcome" state.

These believers are in the position of "hiding from the world" and have been infected by a "siege mentality". They are under the alter hiding from the world. Instead of praying FOR the ungodly, they are praying AGAINST them, which shows in their cry for vengence/vindication. They are losing FAITH IN THE GOD WHO IS IN CONTROL OF ALL THINGS-"All things (that happen)are of God"(2Cor5:18a). They don't realize that it is the drawing power of God causing the rebelliousness of the lawless. THE LATTER ARE RESISTING THE DRAWING POWER, which is why they act as they do.

This brings on the second problem-loss of love-for their fellow man, who "stumbling blindly from pillar to post" doesn't know what he is doing-which is committing cultural suicide. The loss of love of the serious minded ones due to their obsevation of the "hue and cry" surrounding them, is leading-if not halted-to the fulfillment of the following scripture:

Rev. 2:5 "Remember therefore whence you have fallen and repent AND DO YOUR FIRST WORKS, otherwise I come to you and will REMOVE YOUR LAMP OUT OF IT'S PLACE, except you repent"

What little light they have is beginning to go out. If they don't repent, the next thing to follow is........

BITTERNESS. Their light has gone out because their "polarity has been reversed" in this downward spiral. Their outlook no longer containing any trace of faith is turned into negativity because of their concentration on the outward negativity they see in the world......ACCORDING TO YOUR FAITH BE IT UNTO YOU. Their faith is now in the negative. According to how you see, you are.............
